CACI – RCA Program
From December 2013
Responsible for documentation across the RCAS program, a personnel and mobilization software suite for the US Army Reserve Component. This includes Program Plans, Software User Manuals, Installation Guides, Technical Bulletins, and other required documentation. Coordinate a team of five technical writers in supporting 15 development and support teams (roughly 225 personnel).
Ensure broad-impact changes such as organizational changes and corporate branding are reflected in the documentation according to the Agile Scrum implementation on the program, tracking efforts with VersionOne.
Created many efficiencies in the documentation process, including pushing responsibility for quality on to the development teams, so that the QA team could focus on Process Audits rather than documentation reviews. Introduced peer reviews by developers and technical writers into the sprint cycle.
Participated with the QA and CM teams in developing and revising an Automated Laboratory Configuration Audit and Baseline Configuration Matrix utilizing an in-house audit tool and SharePoint process engines. These tools reduced QA and CM team manual involvement by 75% after implementation.
Documented program processes and procedures, including adapting Corporate processes to the program.
Responsible for ensuring client needs are met in regards to documentation, and interacted with the client on a regular basis to prioritize work.
Provide professional consultation on documentation needs for special and surge projects, including whitepapers, software infrastructure upgrades (e.g., Oracle 11g to 12c upgrade; Windows Server 2008 to 2012 upgrade), and proposed technology advancements.
Develop and maintain documentation templates in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe FrameMaker, including graphics support.
