As a Lead Technical Writer, I view it as my responsibility to provide accurate and timely documentation for my customers. This includes much more than simply writing and editing, however. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to interview engineers in order to fully understand and thus be able to convey content. Motivation and drive are required to seek out efficiencies in program processes and propose changes to achieve them. Leadership is necessary to work with and propel a team to success. A broad view of the program creates opportunities to make links where others may not, and courage serves to bring them to attention.
